This study proposes a novel method for image sensor based visible light communication which uses low frame rate camera. In this method, the receiver obtains 1 symbol from 1 pixel value in a frame by using carrier phase synchronization. The synchronization is performed by controlling camera exposure timing. The receiver detects relative phases by analyzing packet preambles, and adjusts the exposure timing by using a camera trigger generator circuit. We performed experiments to evaluate the stability of synchronization and bit errors. Experimental results show that our proposed method is feasible. |
