| (in English) | In contrast to enterprise data that can be effectively managed by traditional database management systems, information spaces created by cooperative knowledge workers are difficult to manage. In general, such an information space spreads over distributed systems (e.g., Web servers and file systems), and the integrity maintenance and circulation of data are not supported in systematic ways. We approach to the problem by developping DB technologies to manage metadata on the information spaces and to find and utilize relationships among the data objects in the space. In this presentation, we showcase some of the technologies developped in our projects for the Web and file space management. |
