Since Japanese companies have attempted to use not only job interviews but also group discussions in their employment selection, several studies have reported on ways to improve discussion skills for students. However, it is supposed that these studies introduce methods of improvement for students with normal discussion skills, and it is possible that it is difficult and ineffective to improve the skills of those students who do not have sufficient discussion skill mastery. Such skills have not been categorized into levels for students with or without skill mastery in group discussion, even though there are several levels of discussion skills for students, and suitable advice is required for each student. In addition, the advice in the literature is not easy to understand for students who are not specialists in communication. Therefore, this study attempts to categorize discussion skills for each level of student and to establish advice methods. The advice is made by students and is provided to other students. We describe the analysis of the recorded discussion and propose a method to provide easy advice that can be understood by students based on the analysis. |
