［所信表明］

コロナ禍の中、テレワークの浸透や非接触機器の普及、日本を挙げてのDXの加速等、 ICT技術はますます重要な役目を担うことになります。学会員の皆さんも、ニューノーマルでの社会価値創造には、ICTが欠くことのできない役割を担うはずと感じているでしょう。一方、ICT技術により新たな価値創造を行うためには、他の分野との連携が欠かせません。適用対象の各ドメイン領域の知見が必須です。言い換えれば、これからの電子情報通信の発展には、外部の研究者・技術者と連携し研究していく姿勢がより一層求められているように感じています。学会は、大学・企業・行政の連携、営利・非営利活動の連携、文化・言語を超える国際連携など、多様な連携が可能な空間です。このような知的空間は、他の社会には存在しません。電子情報通信学会が新しい社会価値創造に向けたハブとして機能し、広範な産業分野を支えるために、必要不可欠な存在となるよう、学会・R&D・企業に関わってきた経験を活かし、貢献したいと考えています。

［プロフィール］

1985年東京大学計数工学卒業、NECに入社し、ネットワーク製品、セキュリティ製品、インターネットシステム等の製品開発、研究に従事。カーネギーメロン大学計算機工学MS。 2016年4月執行役員、2019年4月執行役員常務兼CTO を経て現職となり、国内および海外研究所（USA、ドイツ、中国、シンガポール、イスラエル、インド）を統括し、また全社の技術イノベーションの戦略、知財投資・管理を担当。電子情報通信学会では、2014年から2年間、会計理事を担当。

［Statement］

Under the corona outbreak, ICT technology has played and will play an increasingly important role for providing an environment of work-at-home, contactless access and the acceleration of DX all over Japan. I believe that the all members of IEICE feel that ICT will be the major driver in creating social value under the New Normal. 　On the other hand, we need tight collaboration with other domains for creating new value through ICT. Deep knowledge of outside domains where ICT is applied is indispensable. In other words, I believe that researchers and engineers of IEICE will be more expected to work closely with people of outside domains in future. 　The academic society is a unique space where various cooperation among different sectors is possible, such as universities, private enterprises, government, profit and nonprofit organizations. And international cooperation is also possible in the academic society beyond the barriers of culture and language. There is no such an intelligent and opportunistic space in other societies. In order that IEICE will play an important role as an indispensable hub leading to the creation of new social values and support a wide range of industrial fields, I would like to contribute to IEICE based on my experience working under academic societies, R&D and top management in a large private company.

［Biography］

In 1985, graduated from Department of Mathematical Engineering and Information Physics, School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, joined NEC, and engaged in product development and research on network technologies, security technologies, Internet systems and so on. After serving as Senior Vice President in April 2016, he became Executive Vice President and CTO in April 2019. He has been in charge of overseeing domestic and overseas research laboratories (including USA, Germany, China, Singapore, Israel, and India), strategies of intellectual property investment and management of technological innovation for the entire company. M.S. of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Carnegie Melon University. In charge of accounting for two years from 2014 at IEICE.
