[Statement]

Along with the worldwide advance of information and communication technology, the mechanism of publication, sharing, and evaluation of research results, which is an important role of academic societies, has changed greatly due to the emergence of major preprint servers, open access of online journals, and emphasis on the ranking of papers based on the ranking of journals and international conferences. As a result of these changes, the expectations of researchers and engineers in the field of IEICE-ISS toward academic societies have changed and diversified. I would like to contribute to the development of information and communication technology by working to strengthen the academic functions of IEICE-ISS in order to fully meet such diverse requests and expectations. Regarding to the technical committee meetings, I would like to manage the meeting in a way that can respond flexibly to the consideration of each technical committee, by accelerate the new way of holding TC meetings that each TC has started in the past. With regard to the publication and the conference of IEICE, we will work to create an attractive event that maximizes the satisfaction of each member of IEICE based on close information sharing and mutual understanding among the society and group of IEICE.
