[Statement]
The IEICE Communication Society has social missions. The core of the missions is providing discussion opportunities and opportunities for researchers to meet and opening up new research areas. The Communications Society has been working on reforming its revenue and cost structures. This includes a reduction in printing costs associated with the IEICE Technical Reports. The participation fee for the Technical Committee Conferences were once free. However, in order to strengthen the society's finances, we introduced a system in which participants pay participation fees.
I believe that the Communications Society requires the following reforms:
1) |
Reforms for sustainable development of technical journals
. |
2) |
Accelerating activities beyond the framework of conventional research fields. |
3) |
Strengthen cooperation with academic societies in many countries and promote the discussions beyond national boundaries.
I will do my best to push these things forward. |
