［所信表明］

私たちの生活にデジタル化は確実に浸透し、それを支える技術基盤の一つに電子情報通信技術があります。その技術の情報発信元であり、若手育成の場を担ってきた電子情報通信学会ですが、会員数減少などの課題を抱えています。世の中が求めているものの、そのニーズに応えられていない故なのでしょうか。理事会には学会の在り方について議論を尽くし、必要に応じた変革を主導する役割を担っていると思います。私は幸いにも2017年の100周年記念事業のマイルストーン選定に携わり多くの諸先輩方の偉業や、この学会がもつ基盤の厚さに触れることができました。その基盤の厚さを理事会の議論を通して、多くの研究者・技術者に還元することに微力ながら尽力したいと思います。

［プロフィール］

1988年筑波大学理工学研究科修了。同年HOYA(株)入社し、機能性ガラス・デバイスの研究開発に従事。2000年(株)富士通研究所に転社。2005年から富士通(株)にて光増幅器モジュール・WDMシステム開発を経て、ネットワークプロダクト商品企画を主導、現在はソフトウェアビジネスの事業戦略を担当。創立100周年記念事業マイルストーン選定委員会幹事。第49回電気科学技術奨励賞(オーム賞)受賞。

［Statement］

Digitization has steadily permeated our lives, and one of the technological bases is electronic information and communication technology. IEICE has been a source of information on this technology and has played a role in nurturing young people, is facing issues such as a decline in the number of members. Is it because the society wants it, but the needs are not met? I believe that the Board has a role to play in discussing the ideal form of the academic society and taking the initiative in making changes as necessary. I was fortunate to have been involved in the selection of milestones for the 100 year anniversary celebration of 2017. I was able to see the achievements of many of my predecessors and the depth of the foundation of this society. I will do my best to pass on the foundation to many researchers and engineers through discussions at the Board.

［Biography］

I graduated from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, University of Tsukuba in 1988. I joined Hoya the same year and was engaged in research and development of functional glass devices. Transferred to Fujitsu Laboratories in 2000. After working at Fujitsu for development of optical amplifier modules and WDM systems in 2005, I led product planning for network products, and is currently in charge of business strategy for the software business. Secretary of the Milestone selection committee for the 100 year anniversary project. Received the 49 Electric Science and Technology Promotion Award (Ohm Award).
