[Statement]

With the drastic changes in the field of information technologies, there are increasing expectations for the IEICE Information and Systems Society to play a crucial role in strengthening the research and development of information technologies in Japan. I would like to contribute to the development of this Society and IEICE by making my best efforts to enhance three areas: technical committees, publications, and conferences, all of which underpin the Society's activities. Regarding the technical committees, they should continue to be a driving force for building human networks and creating new research areas emanating from Japan by encouraging in-depth discussion on research from early stages. Regarding the publishing business, we need to consider the significance of archiving research work in Japanese and how we can discover the uniqueness and strengths of our international journal to strengthen the publishing business even further. About conferences, I would like to work to make them even more attractive for diverse groups of people by providing a venue for wide-ranging research presentations and exchanging various ideas for research and development of information technologies.
