［所信表明］

モバイル通信の進化により人とサイバー世界のつながりが拡大し、今、急速な進展を遂げつつあるIoTによりモノを含む実世界とサイバー世界の融合が大きく拡大しつつあります。その大きな変化の中、情報通信ネットワークもその主要な役割を人と人の間のコミュニケーション手段から、社会の変革を支える基盤へと変えつつあります。そうした状況から、現在、私達が直面する少子高齢化などの様々な社会課題の解決には、情報通信技術の更なる進化が不可欠であり、また、社会からの大きな期待を担っていると考えています。そして、情報通信技術の進歩を牽引する本会がそうした課題解決に果たす役割は大変大きいと確信しております。私は本会が期待に応え豊かな人類社会への進歩に貢献する役割を十全に果たすことが出来る様に円滑な運営に微力を尽くす所存です。

［プロフィール］

1991年早稲田大学大学院修士課程修了。同年、日本電信電話株式会社入社。以来、情報通信ネットワークアーキテクチャや分散処理システムの研究開発に従事。2000年より株式会社NTTドコモにてモバイルインターネット関連の装置開発やネットワーク仮想化の研究開発に従事。現在、NTTドコモ先進技術研究所長。 1996年〜1998年Bell Communications Research客員研究員、2009年MIT Sloan School（MBA）修了、1994年学術奨励賞受賞。

［Statement］

Recent advancements of mobile communication have been strengthening association between humans and the cyber world, and at present the rapid expansion of IoT accelerates the fusion of the real world and the cyber world. In tandem with this big transformation, the major role of information and communication networks begins to shift from human communication media to an important infrastructure for social revolution. To resolve various social issues at present, e.g., fast-aging society, further evolution of ICT is essential, and it is greatly expected from the human society. I definitely believe that IEICE, which leads advancements of ICT, plays major roles to solve those social issues. I promise that I will make great efforts for IEICE’s smooth operation to help that IEICE will fully perform expected role to contribute progress of human society enrichment.

［Biography］

He received M.E. in electric engineering from Waseda University, Japan in 1991 and MBA from MIT Sloan School in 2009. In 1991, he joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation. Since then, he was engaged in R&D of information communication network architectures and distributed processing systems. Also, he was a visiting researcher of Bell Communications Research from 1996 to 1998. In 2000, he joined NTT DOCOMO, Inc. and was engaged in R&D of mobile internet nodal system and network virtualization. Currently, he is a General Manager of Research Laboratories in NTT DOCOMO, Inc. He received IEICE Young Researcher's Award in 1994.
