Candidate’s statement
I believe IEICE has been greatly contributing to the advancement of electronics, communications and information technologies as well as education of engineers in these fields in Japan. I am one of them educated through technical activities of IEICE, especially IEICE Communication Society.
On the other hand, we are facing drastic changes surrounding IEICE such as globalization of R&D activities and decrease of IEICE members due to the decrease of population in Japan. IEICE must adapt itself to such changes to survive in new environments.
It is my great honor to be nominated as a candidate of President Elect of IEICE Communications Society. I have 3 years experiences as a Vice President of IEICE Communications Society and I am also contributing to ad hoc working group to improve the activities of IEICE Communications Society. I believe these experiences will be greatly helpful to serve as a President Elect. If appointed, I will contribute, together with the colleagues of IEICE, toward the advancement and improvement of IEICE Communications Society activities for its brighter future.
