With research information now readily available and online meetings more convenient, the raison d'etre of academic societies is being reexamined. I believe that increasing diversity in community building is crucial to creating a more engaging society. Specifically, I will focus on the following two points. (1) To inspire members to take the initiative in their own management, I aim to build a system framework that fosters mutual respect for the cultures of individual fields and enhances the flexibility of each society and technologies-committee group. (2) To expand our global network, I aim to build a framework that is financially attractive for societies and technical committees that host international conferences and other international activities, and to support the holding of technical committee meetings and editorial meetings overseas in conjunction with international conferences.
