[Statement]

The Engineering Science Society is characterized not only by its wide range of research technical committees but also by its multiple sub-societies that integrate and support these diverse areas. Through regular research meetings organized by the technical committees, as well as various symposia and international conferences held by the sub-societies, the Society maintains a remarkably strong presence both domestically and internationally. By fully leveraging these strengths, I believe it is entirely possible to guide the Society and the Institute back into a phase of growth. To achieve this, it is essential to further strengthen the functions of the organizations under the Society. In addition to revitalizing research activities centered around the Society, its sub-societies, and research meetings, it is crucial to promote international outreach by utilizing the global networks already established by the sub-societies and committees, as well as to enhance collaboration with industry. Sustaining and steadily advancing these initiatives requires placing the highest priority on nurturing young researchers and future generations. Providing opportunities for students and early-career researchers to grow is one of the Society’s most important roles. We must continually ask ourselves whether we remain a Society in which members feel genuine value in staying involved even after graduation. With this in mind, I am committed to supporting all members of our Society to the best of my ability.

[Biography]
