このたびは、通信ソサイエティ次期会長候補として推薦いただき、誠に光栄に存じます。
電子情報通信学会の「理念」によれば、本会は学術の発展、産業の興隆並びに人材の育成を促進するとあります。このうち、複雑さと多様性が増す現代社会において学会が果たすべき重要な役割の一つは人材育成であると私は考えています。私自身、研究会や国際会議での発表や論文投稿を通して、新たな発見や自身に不足している点に気づかされた経験があります。また、研究専門委員会、論文誌編集、あるいは国際会議の運営側の立場で多くの方々と出会い、そこでの活動や交流を通して、私自身も大きく成長できたと実感しております。このような人材育成の場を提供し続けさらに発展させるべく、研究専門委員会、論文誌編集、そして国際会議の現場の皆様方と一緒に考え、通信ソサイエティの更なる活性化に貢献したいと考えています。
1992年早大・理工・電気卒、1994年同大大学院修士課程了．2010年同大博士（工学）。1994年三菱電機（株）入社以来、レーダ／通信等の各種アンテナ、レーダ／データリンク等の各種無線システムの研究開発に従事。現在、同社情報技術総合研究所グループマネージャー。
本会アンテナ・伝播研究専門委員会幹事、通ソ研専運営会議総務幹事、和文B編集副委員長、通ソ副編集長、通ソ総務幹事、通ソ副会長（財務・会員事業担当）などを歴任。本会学術奨励賞（1999年）、通ソ活動功労賞（2011、2014、2015、2017、2019、2021）、通ソ論文賞（2013、2018）を受賞。
I am truly honored to be nominated as a candidate for the President-Elect of the Communications Society. According to the "Philosophy" of IEICE, we have purposes to promote the development of academia, the rise of industry, and the human resource development. Among these, I believe that one of our important roles in today's increasingly complex and diverse society is human resource development. I myself have had the experience of making new discoveries and realizing my own deficiencies through presentations at the technical committees, international conferences and journals. In addition, I feel that I have been able to grow greatly through the steering activities in the technical committees, editorial committees, and international conference committees, with meeting and interacting a lot of people there. In order to continue to provide such a place for human resource development and to further develop it, I would like to contribute to the further development of the Communications Society by working together with the steering members of the technical committees, editorial committees, and international conference committees.
He received his B. E. and M. E. degrees in electrical engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, in 1992 and 1994, respectively, and his D. E. degree from the same university in 2010.
In 1994, he joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan, where he has been engaged in research and development on antennas and wireless systems such as radar and radio communication. Currently, he is a Manager of Antennas Technology Department, Information Technology R&D Center.
In IEICE Communication Society, he served as a secretary of Technical Committee on Antennas and Propagation, a director of Council of Technical Committee Representatives, an editor of Editorial Committee of Transactions on Communications (Japanese Edition), a vice chair of Editorial Board, a director and vice president of Communication Society.
He received the IEICE Young Engineer Award in 1999, IEICE Communications Society Best Paper Award in 2013 and 2018.
