情報通信技術は様々なアプリケーションを支える基盤として急速に発展しています。例えば生成AIは現在は人の活動を支援する応用分野が話題ですが、今後は、人を含めた複雑な現実世界の事象をリアルタイムに扱うことで、モビリティ、製造業、医療分野をはじめ様々な産業を革新することが期待されます。一方、世界中の人々が健康で豊かに暮らせる将来を目指すためには、様々な情報通信技術を創造するとともに技術やその適用・応用に関しても理解を深め活用しやすい環境が不可欠です。このため、会員の皆様への有益な情報や意見交換の場を提供する基本的な活動に加えて、非会員の方にも多く参加いただける活動を強化するなど本会の発展に貢献したいと考えております。
1994年北海道大学大学院情報工学専攻終了。1994年(株)富士通研究所入社。以降、IETFでの国際標準化、障害検知・復旧、あるいは開発との統合など、ICTシステムを対象とした運用管理高度化の研究開発などに従事。現在、富士通(株)先端技術開発本部6Gプラットフォーム研究戦略室長。本会では通ソ研専運営会議の技報幹事として技報完全電子化などを担当。直近では2022-24年 情報通信マネジメント(ICM)研究専門委員会委員長、APNOMS 2022 General Chair、IEEE NOMS 2024 Vice Co-Chair。
Information and communication technologies (ICT) are rapidly evolving as the foundation supporting a wide range of applications. For example, while generative AI is currently attracting attention for its applications in assisting human activities, it is expected to revolutionize various industries, including mobility, industrial machinery, health care in the future by handling complex real-world events, including human factors, in real time. On the other hand, to ensure a future where people worldwide can live healthy and prosperous lives, it is essential not only to create various ICTs but also to foster a readily accessible environment where understanding and utilization of these technologies and their applications are enhanced. Therefore, in addition to providing valuable information and facilitating exchanges of opinions among our members, I intend to contribute to the growth of IEICE by expanding activities that encourage non-member involvement.
He received the M.E. degree in Information Engineering at Hokkaido University in 1994 and subsequently joined Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. He has been involved in research and development focusing on international standardization at the IETF, fault detection and recovery, and the enhancement of operational management for ICT systems through integration with development. He currently serves as the head of the 6G Platform Research Strategy Office, Advanced Technology Development Unit at Fujitsu Ltd. Within IEICE, he led the complete online publication of technical reports as the technical report secretary of the Council of Technical Committee Representatives. From 2022, he is chairperson of the Information and Communications Management (ICM) Technical Committee, APNOMS 2022 General Chair, IEEE NOMS 2024 Vice Co-Chair.
