「活用なき学問は、無学に等しい」との偉人の名言が良く知られておりますが、現代では技術によって価値を創出する、いや価値創出のために技術を成すとの考えがより重要になっています。そのような時代において、本会の活動をどのように、あるいはどんな価値に結びつけていくかが問われていると考えます。本会は電子・情報・通信の名を冠しております通り、多様な学術分野の融合の場です。その特徴を最大限に活かし、他分野との交流も含めた様々な人・技術の出会いを新たな価値に結びつけるべく尽力します。
1989年埼玉大・工・電気卒、2024年静岡大大学院・博士課程了。博士(工学)。1989年三菱電機(株)入社。2024年〜金沢大学特任准教授、九州大学招聘講師。1992年本会論文賞、2013年通ソ活動功労賞、2017年マイルストーン。
現在、三菱電機(株)情報技術総合研究所 主幹技師長。光アクセス・メトロコアネットワーク、5G/6Gシステムなどに適用する伝送方式、アクセス制御、仮想化等の技術に関する研究開発・標準化に従事。企画戦略室幹事/委員、CEATEC連携小委員会幹事、CS研究会幹事/委員長、新しい研究会運営検討WG、産学活性化議題検討WGなどを歴任。
The famous quote from a great man is well known: "Learning without application is the same as ignorance." In modern times, the idea of creating value through technology, or rather, creating technology for the purpose of creating value, is becoming more important. In such an era, we are being asked how, or to what value, we will link our activities. As the name of our society suggests, it is a forum for the fusion of a wide range of academic fields. I will do my best to make the most of this characteristic and to link encounters between various people and technologies, including exchanges with other fields, to new value.
Seiji Kozaki received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering at Saitama University in 1989, and the Ph.D degree at Shizuoka University in 2024. He entered Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in 1989, where he had been engaged in research and development and standardization of transmission methods, access control, virtualization, and other technologies applicable to optical access and metro core networks, 5G/6G systems, etc. He has served as a secretary/committee member of the Planning and Strategy Office, secretary/chairman of the Technical Conference on Communication Systems in IEICE. He is currently Chief Expert in Information Technology R&D Center, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. He is a senior member of IEICE.
