産業競争力の源泉である研究開発力の再生が喫緊の課題です。本会は、電子、情報、通信の３つの分野の先頭に立ってイノベーションの種になる革新的な技術を生み出していかねばなりません。IEICEが戦略的に重点取り組み分野を定め、最先端のエマージングテクノロジー研究を集めるために、私はアカデミア・産業界・府省の３つの対話を重視し、学会運営の高度化と学会組織の価値向上を図って参ります。また、旧来の段階的な性能改善に力点を置く機能的価値の追求に留めず、広く人や社会の共感を呼ぶ「意味的価値」をエコシステムとともに創造していきます。学会会員が抱く高い目標の実現の場となるよう、皆様と協力してあらゆる施策を推進していきたいと考えています。
’88阪大基礎工修了。同年三菱電機入社。光通信およびデジタル信号処理の研究に従事。情報技術総合研究所 光電波・通信技術部門統轄、東京大学 産学連携本部研究員、Mitsubishi Electric Research Lab. Inc.取締役、先端技術総合研究所長、ビジネスイノベーション本部 副本部長などを経て、現在 三菱電機開発本部 執行役員。本学会フェロー、’13光通信システム研専委員長、’20-’23理事・企画戦略室長。IEEE、Optica、レーザー学会会員。COCN実行委員、農水省農林水産技術会議専門委員、関西大学客員教授ほか。博士(工学)。
The revitalization of R&D capabilities, which is the source of industrial competitiveness, is an urgent issue for Japan. The IEICE must lead the way in the fields of electronics, information, and communications to create innovative technologies that will be the seeds of innovation. In order to strategically define priority areas and gather emerging technologies, I will focus on three dialogues between industry, academia, and government to raise the level of the management and the value of the organization. I will not limit to the pursuit of functional values that focus on incremental performance improvement, but will work with the ecosystem to create non-functional premium values that empathize with a wide range of members of IEICE. I would like to promote all measures in cooperation with members so that we can be a place where the high goals held by the members can be realized.
Takashi Mizuochi received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Osaka University. He joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, where he engaged in research on optical communication and digital signal processing. He was seconded to conduct research at the University of Tokyo. He served General Manager, Optical Communication, Information Technology R&D Center, Mitsubishi Electric Corp., a Board of Director of Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories Inc., USA, Senior General Manager of Advanced Technology R&D Center, Executive Fellow, Deputy Vice President of Business Innovation Group. He is currently Corporate Executive, Corporate R&D, Mitsubishi Electric Corp.
He is a fellow of IEICE, '13 Chairman of OCS, '20-'23 a Board of Directors and Head of Planning and Strategy Office of IEICE. He is a member of IEEE, Optica, and the Laser Society of Japan, a member of COCN Executive Committee, a member of technical evaluation committee for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and a visiting professor at Kansai University.
