このたび、電子情報通信学会の次期会長候補にご推薦いただき、大変光栄に感じております。昨今、社会全体においてデジタル化が進む中、情報通信の重要性が日に日に増しています。その一方で、通信市場を取り巻く競争環境は大きく様変わりしてきています。このような変化の時代において、多様性に寛容な持続可能な社会を支える情報社会基盤の実現に貢献していくため、信学会会員の皆様方との議論を深めるだけでなく、周辺領域の方々とも意見を交わしながら、本会のあるべき姿を追求していけたらと考えております。微力ながら、皆様のお役にたてるよう努めてまいります。よろしくお願いいたします。

It is my great honor to be nominated as a next presidential candidate of IEICE. In recent years, with the progress of digitalization in all social activities, the importance of information and communication is increasing day by day. On the other hand, the competitive environment surrounding the telecommunications market has changed significantly. In this era of change, what should IEICE do for contributing to the realization of a sustainable information infrastructure, which supports a society that is tolerant of diversity? For solving this proposition, I would like to not only deepen discussions with our members, but also exchange opinions with others in the surrounding research areas. I will do my best for that. Thank you.
Yukari Tsuji received B.S. and M.S. degrees in information science from Tsukuba University, Japan, in 1987 and 1989, respectively. She also received MBA degree in Sloan Fellows Program from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005. She was a researcher mainly in Service Integration Laboratories in Nippon Telegraph and Telephone corporation (NTT) from 1989 to 2012, Director of R&D Center in NTT West from 2013 to 2016, General Manager of NTT Network Technology Laboratories from 2016 to 2019, Board Director and General Manager of IOWN Innovation Business Headquarters in NTT Advanced Technology Corporation from 2019 to 2023. She has been Senior Vice President of R&D and Head of Information Network Laboratory Group in NTT since 2023. As for IEICE, she served as Director, General Affairs from 2016 to 2017, and President of IEICE Communication Society from 2021 to 2022. She is also IEICE Fellow.
