会員の皆様がこの所信表明を読む頃には通ソ英文論文誌（EB）が ComEX に続き IEEE Xplore へ掲載されているころかと思います。これで英文論文誌4誌の全てが（公開プラットフォームは異なれど）オープンアクセスとして公開されます。本会会員だけで無く，学生や分野外の方までどなたでも本会英文論文誌を読むことができます。次のステップは，いかに多くの人に読んでもらうのか，ということに尽きます。多言語翻訳プラットフォームも始まりました。これらの施策ともリンクさせながら本会論文誌の価値向上に少しでも貢献したいと思います。ところで，論文誌の価値を高めるためにひとり一人の会員ができることは何かご存じですか？答えは論文を読むことです。ご自身の研究と関係無いから，サーベイに引っかから無いから読まない，などと言わず是非，論文を読んでください。毎月，論文誌にアクセスしてざーっと眺めるだけで構いません。皆様が本会論文にアクセスすることでアクセス数が向上し，ひいては検索ランクも上昇します。これが結果として論文の価値向上に繋がります。ぜひ，本会論文を読んでみてください。
1988年 信州大・工・電子工卒。1990年 同大院修士課程了。1993年 慶大院博士課程了。博士（工学）。同年 名大・工・電子情報・助手。1998年 名大・情報メディア教育センター・助教授、2010年 名大・教養教育院・教授、現在、名大・教養教育院・副院長。2006年 IEEE Communication Society's Best Tutorial Paper Award、第76回本会論文賞、ほか受賞。2009-11年 和文論文誌（B）編集委員長、2013-17年 I-Scoverプロジェクト・サブリーダ、2020-22年 通ソ編集長、2022年 東海支部長。2023年 ソサイエティ大会実行委員長。
By the time you read this statement, EB will be published in IEEE Xplore. All four journals will now be open-access (although on different publication platforms). Not only our members but also students and non-members of the IEICE can read the journals. The next step is to make the journals available to as many people as possible. With a connection to the recently launched multilingual translation platform, I would like to contribute to improving the value of the Transactions of the IEICE.
Dr.Takaya Yamazato is a professor and Deputy Director at the Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Nagoya University, Japan. He received Ph. D. from Keio University in 1993. In 2006, he received the IEEE Communication Society's Best Tutorial Paper Award and IEICE Best Paper Award in 2019. In addition, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the IEICE Transactions on Communication (2009-2011), Sub-Leader of the I-Scover Project (2013-2017), Editorial Board Chair of the Communication Society (2020-2022), and currently, he is Tokai Section Chair (2022).
