一般社団法人化された際の余剰金を元にして計画的に執行してきた公益目的支出の計画期間も残り少なくなり、本会は期間終了後の会計を考えなければいけないタイミングとなっております。現状と同じ支出を続けると大幅な赤字決算となる可能性があり、収支バランスを軟着陸させたうえで持続的に本会の発展を目指す必要があります。本会が取り扱う電子情報通信技術の研究分野は社会生活にとって必要不可欠となっており研究活動自体は活発に行われているものの、情報入手の在り方や研究活動の方法が昔と大きく変わっている中、会員数の減少や若手会員への運営負荷の増加などが課題となっており、本学会の在り方自体も変化してきているものと思います。このような中で、活発に活動を続けている研究会や論文誌などの事業を活性化しつつ、学会の収支構造を安定化させる必要があります。現場の意見を真摯に取り入れ、財務基盤の安定化と学会全体の発展に貢献できればと考えております。

Only a short planning period left for the public purpose expense based on surplus becoming General Incorporated Association of IEICE. This is a time that IEICE must consider its accounting after the end of the planning period. If the same expense is continued, there is a possibility to be the financial deficit. It is important to improve income and expense structure as well as sustainable development of our association. The research fields treated by IEICE are important for our social life and active R&D is performed. On the other hand, how to obtain information and how to promote R&D are drastically changed. We have big issues such as decreasing the number of members and large work load to young researches. From these points of view, the role of IEICE is also changed. Under these situations, it is necessary to stabilize the income and expense structure of IEICE while keeping academic activities such as technical committee and journals. I try to contribute stable financial base and development of IEICE.
Takeo Fujii received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan, in 2002. From 2002 to 2006, he was an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. From 2006 to 2014, he has been an associate professor in Advanced Wireless Communication Research Center, The University of Electro-Communications. Currently, he is a professor in Advanced Wireless and Communication Research Center, The University of Electro-Communications. Currently, he is a professor and a director of Advanced Wireless and Communication Research Center, The University of Electro-Communications. He served several IEICE position such as a Vice President of IEICE Communication Society, Chair of Technical Committee of Smart Radio of IEICE. He is a fellow of IEICE.
