[Statement]

The environments surrounding academic societies in Japan are changing largely these days, giving them quite a few challenges including decrease in member numbers. IEICE is no exception. Whether IEICE be sustainable over the next century or not seems dependent on how we can change it now. Based upon my experience as a VP of IEICE when it celebrated its 100-year anniversary and as the current Chair of IEEE Tokyo Section, I will do my best as an Auditor, if elected, to monitor the execution of operations and finances of IEICE, so that it can contribute to our society continuously.
