様々なイノベーションが起こる中、情報通信技術は多様な産業分野や技術領域で連携が進み、本会における活動も急速に進化が求められていると考えます。本会において長期に渡り成熟してきた技術も、こうした多様な連携を前提に更なる進展と拡張が期待されます。取り巻く環境の変化は、従来の考え方や取り組み方に対して、維持成長させるべきところと改めて見直すべきところを見極め、更なる学会の価値向上を求めています。これまで築き上げた歴史ある実績を生かしつつ、情報通信技術の専門家によるコミュニティがスピード感をもって柔軟に活動していくためにも、本会を中心とした学会活動の経験を基に、企業研究者の視点を加えて、企画理事として貢献できれば幸いです。
1988年早大理工・電子通信卒、1990年同大修士了、2002年同大博士（工学）。1990年国際電信電話（現KDDI）入社、研究所にてネットワーク設計やサービス品質に関する研究に従事。2011年からKDDI㈱LTE端末開発室長や技術戦略部長を経て、2020年に㈱KDDI総合研究所所長及び2021年KDDI㈱執行役員に就任。本会、通ソ英文誌副編集長、フォトニックネットワーク研専副委員長、通信行動工学研専委員長等を歴任。
In the midst of various innovations, information and communication technology is collaborating in various industrial fields and technological fields, and we believe that the activities of the Society are required to evolve rapidly. The technology that has matured over a long period of time at the Society is expected to further progress and expand on the premise of such diverse cooperation. With regard to changes in the surrounding environment, we are seeking to further increase the value of IEICE by recognizing where we should maintain and grow, and what we should revisit with respect to conventional thinking and approaches. I believe that it is important for the community of information and communication technology experts to act with speed and flexibility while taking advantage of the historical achievements we have built up to date. I would be happy if I could contribute as a director by adding the perspective of a corporate researcher based on my experience in academic activities centered on IEICE.
Hajime Nakamura received the B. E., M. E. and Ph.D. from Waseda University in 1988, 1990 and 2002, respectively. He joined Kokusai Denshin Denwa (now KDDI) in 1990 and researched on network design and service quality in R&D laboratories. He also worked as a director of LTE terminal development department and a director of technology strategy department of KDDI Corporation. Since 2020 and 2021, he has been President, CEO of KDDI research Inc. and a corporate officer of KDDI Corporation, respectively. He served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the IEICE Transactions of Communications, Vice-Chairman of Technical Committee on Photonic Network, Chairman of Technical Committee on Communication Behavior Engineering and so forth.
