| 抄録（和） | 画像・映像符号化に関する研究開発・応用などの貢献により、2019年1月にIEEEからフェロー資格を賜った。本講演では、まず自身の約四半世紀にわたる画像符号化関連の研究を振り返り、いくつかのトピックの紹介を行う。ついでIEEEフェロー資格への応募・選考プロセスに関し、自身の経験談を一般にあまり知られていない事柄も交えつつ詳細を述べたい。 |
| 抄録（英） | The author was elevated to IEEE Fellow, effective 1 January 2019, for contributions on research, development, and application of image/video coding. In this lecture, I will look back on my research on image coding for about a quarter of a century and introduce some topics. Then I would like to give details on the process of applying for and selecting the IEEE Fellow qualification, including what is generally not well known, according to my experiences. |
