| 抄録（和） | 近年の急速な普及に伴い、インターネットの高品質化が必要となっている。本稿では、そのための技術課題として、(1)実時間系QoS保証技術、(2)バックボーンの高速化技術、(3)プロトコルの高速化技術、(4)エンドホストの高速化技術、(5)ネットワーク機能の再配分、(6)データ系通信の公平性、(7)ネットワークプロビジョニング技術、(8)パケット交換ネットワークにおける基礎理論、を取り上げる。本稿では、これらの問題それぞれに対して、まず現状の技術レベルについて述べ、その後、考えうる解決の方向について議論する。 |
| 抄録（英） | A rapid growth of the Internet leads to demands of buidling next-generation high-speed & high-quality Internet, raising several research problems that we need to challeng. Those include (1) QoS guarantee mechanism for real-time applications, (2) technologies for high-speed backbone network, (3) technologies for high-speed protocols, (4) technologies for high-speed protocol processing at end hosts, (5) re-allocation for the network-related functionalities, (6) fairness issues for elastic applications, (7) technologies for network provisioning, and (8) fundamental theoris for packet-switched networks. In this article, we first overview the current technological status in turn, and then future directions for resolving those issues are examined. |
