Instructions for participants of QIT44
General instructions
- This conference will be held using Zoom. (1)
Please be sure to install the latest version of the Zoom app before joining. (2)
- You can download manuscripts (proceedings) and poster presentation materials from Dropbox.
- The links (URLs) for connecting to Zoom and to Dropbox for the above purposes were emailed to those who have registered for participation. (3)
- Your name on Zoom should be "Name (Affiliation)." (4)
- Screenshots and recordings are prohibited. (5)
- Those who obstruct the meeting may be forced to leave. (6)
- For poster and oral presenters, try to use a stable internet access as much as possible if you can select multiple lines.
In oral sessions
- Oral sessions are conducted as Zoom's regular meetings.
- You can download manuscripts (proceedings) from Dropbox.
- To ask questions, either i) use Zoom's chat function, or ii) use Zoom's "raise hand" function and speak after being nominated by the chairperson.
In the poster session
- The poster session is conducted in Zoom's breakout rooms.
You can join breakout rooms by connecting to Zoom as usual and then pressing the "Breakout Rooms" button at the bottom right of the screen.
- You can download manuscripts (proceedings) and poster presentation materials from Dropbox.

- (2) Old versions of the Zoom app may not work properly with the "Breakout Rooms" feature, and you may not be able to attend the poster session or the social gathering.
Your Zoom app version will be displayed on the app launch screen.
Please compare it with the latest version at Zoom Download Center, and update it if it is not the latest.
- (3) The title of the email is "How to participate in QIT44." Please inform the organizers (qit44_jikkou_AT_googlegroups.com) if you have not received this email though you have made a registration.
- (4) It serves as your name tag.
Also, based on this name, the organizing members will check your registration. Participants without registration may be forced to leave.
- (5) The content of all presentations is the copyrighted work of the presenters and is protected by the copyright laws.
- (6) You may be forced to leave if you make irregular remarks, irregular chats, unauthorized screen sharing, or any other conduct which obstructs proceedings of the meeting, and do not follow the instruction of the organizing members.
To poster presenters
- If it is okay with you, please send your presentation file (free format) to the organizers (qit44_jikkou_AT_googlegroups.com) by Friday, May 21st.
- Participants will be able to download your presentation file from Dropbox.
We do this so that participants can understand your talk even if they start listening from the middle.
- If you wish to send it later than May 21st, or do not wish to share your presentation file, please inform the organizers.
- During the lunch break before the poster session, please enter one of Zoom's breakout rooms (numbered with your presentation number), and test the screen sharing function.
You can enter breakout rooms by connecting to Zoom as usual, and then by pressing the "Breakout Room" button at the bottom right of the screen.
