@Shuichi Sakai

The field of Information and Systems now stands at a significant turning point. While we have had fashionable keywords like ubiquitous, cloud, big data, IoT, etc., industries, technologies and researches have all rapidly been changing and the relationship among them tends to be unbalanced. Moreover, as we need to develop the secure and reliable society, we must have an innovative vision for effective data protection and data exploitation. ICT is definitely the central issue; however, we also need to cooperate with other specialists such as jurists and economists. I do hope to do my best to create and develop a new era of information and systems. I would like to sincerely propel the following items: (1) administration for satisfying various needs of the members, (2) pioneering new ICT fields and supporting youngsters, (3) wide range collaborations between academia and industry, (4) further globalization, and (5) contribution to the safe and secure society.
