[Statement]
Prolonged natural disaster recovery and deterioration in the economy, the industry seems to be increasingly requiring academic activities which may result in increased productivity and business continuity of essential technical innovation. In accordance with the progress of rapid technology evolution, ICT industry has to cope with structural transformation. In the situation, the cooperation between academic activities and industry becomes important mission for IEICE. Now, we are facing in mind including globalization and gradual decrease of the number of students willing to study science and technologies. I think we have to have great dream for the research topics of ICT area. I hope you share these views and I ask for your kind support.
