@Although ICT is growing in importance in society, it would appear that the influence of IEICE is relatively declining in the global community and globalization accelerates the mono-polar world centered around an academic society. We believe that a multi-polar world contributes to the stable development of humankind. For this reason, the successive presidents and the members have been struggling reform of IEICE with the aim of becoming another pole.
@The basic roles of an academic society are seen as accumulating knowledge and providing opportunities to meet and discuss. Although the progress of the reform for the first role has been made by electronic journals and I-Scover, etc. . It seems that the reform for the second role was far from adequate. I will be committed to provide various opportunities for domestic and foreign researchers to exchange views and work together, and a better environment for young researchers to be fascinated by ICT and grow in their talent.
