Biography
Rin-ichiro Taniguchi received B.E, M.E and D.E respectively in 1978, 1980, 1986 from Kyushu University, Fukuoka Japan. From 1980 to 1989, he was a research associate of Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, Kyushu University. From 1989 to 1996, he was an associate professor of the graduate school. Since 1996, he has been a professor of Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University. From 2011, he has also been the dean of the graduate school. He served as several committee members of the IEICE, and its related international conferences. He is a Fellow of the IEICE.
Statement
As a body of experts, the IEICE is required to distribute valuable information of ICT technology to the society even though there is much information available on the internet. Therefore, publication activity is quite important providing the latest information via qualified journals. In particular, it is important to provide information which is indispensable to the growth of young engineers. Considering the above, I would like to contribute the activity of the IEICE, and also development of the active society.
