Although ICT is increasing in importance, many problems in the ICT field, such as its falling popularity among young people, are becoming obvious. IEICE which is responsible for ICT, should make efforts to enable people engaged in ICT to look to the future with hope. The main role of IEICE is; to provide chances for members to discuss their research, to certify their research results, and to help them in their studies. First, we will focus on maintaining and improving the quality of journal papers, including their impact factor. Next, we will expand IEICEfs field of interest into basic sciences, social sciences and will provide members with new knowledge.
