[IEICE-CS eNews<2017-03>]Call for Submissions: IEEE VTC2017-Spring Workshop (TPoC5G) January 19, 2017. ==================================================== Call for Submissions: IEEE VTC2017-Spring Workshop W4: Technology Trials and Proof-of-Concept Activities for 5G and Beyond (TPoC5G) or Event date: 4 June2017 Venue: Sydney, Australia Paper Submission Due: 5 February 2017 (EXTENDED) Organized by Gerhard Bauch and Hidekazu Murata (Technical Committee Chair on Radio Communication System) Abstract: The 5th generation (5G) cellular communication systems are to be launched in a couple of years. In the 5G standardization, key enabling technologies such as massive MIMO, beamforming, access technology and a new frame design are to be specified. Meanwhile, the research and development of those key technologies and their technology trials are being carried out in many research entities. On the other hand, new technology concepts for beyond 5G (B5G) have been also investigated. In these regards, this workshop is aiming to provide the opportunity to present the latest trials and trial results for 5G and the proof-of-concept activities for B5G. Through the discussion at the workshop, it is also expected to promote the exchange of new ideas among researchers.
