[IEICE-CS eNews<2010-08>] WDN 2010 Call for Papers - Deadline extension till April 26, 2010 April 13, 2010. ---------------------------------------------------------------- **Note that the paper submission deadline has been extended to **April 26, 2010**. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ======================================================= Call For Papers - Deadline: 26 April, 2010 (EXTENDED) WDN 2010 International Workshop on Wireless Distributed Networks Date and Location: September 26, 2010, Istanbul, Turkey http://www.icwdn.org/wdn2010 ======================================================= We would like to invite prospective authors to submit technical papers to International Workshop on Wireless Distributed Networks (WDN 2010), which will be held in conjunction with PIMRC 2010, 26 September, 2010, Istanbul, Turkey. Authors are encouraged to submit original, high quality research papers addressing the below stated areas. * IMPORTANT DATES: *****Notice!!***Notice!!****Notice!!***Notice!!****** EXTENDED TO 26 April, 2010 Submission deadline ***************************************************** Extended to 1 June, 2010 Notification of acceptance 18 June, 2010 Final Camera Ready Copy 26 Sept, 2010 Workshop * SCOPE: With diversification of wireless access technologies and their application fields, the role of wireless access is no longer the last hop terminal access, but also for repeating functionality such as mesh/multi-hop/adhoc/sensor networking. Thereby more complicated wireless networking, especially radio resource management is required to well organize whole the networks. In such cases, it is almost impossible to optimally conduct wireless resource management based on a centralized control policy. Rather, distributed and/or cooperative control techniques should be introduced in necessary parts in any layer, such as distributed antenna, cognitive radio, distributed MAC, and dynamic heterogeneous networking. Even in a cellular system, a distributed control strategy becomes a key technology for realizing cooperative MIMO, BS cooperation and multi-hop cellular networks. The main purpose of this workshop is to systematize an academic basis over the various topics in wireless distributed networks as listed below, and to discuss the adaptability of these new technologies to enhance the performance of wireless distributed networks. * TOPICS AREAS: The main purpose of this workshop is to systematize an academic basis over the various topics in wireless distributed networks as listed below, and to discuss the adaptability of these new technologies to enhance the performance of wireless distributed networks. -Application Ad-hoc network, Advanced cellular network, Cooperative transmission system, Heterogeneous network, Mesh network, Multi-hop network, Sensor network, Selforganized network, Smart utility network, Wireless grid -Technology BS/AP cooperation, Cooperative sensing, Cooperative relay, Cross layer optimization, Distributed MAC, Distributed MIMO, Distributed RRM /Scheduling, Interference alignment, Network coding, Spatial spectrum sharing, Super position coding, Virtual antenna array -Theory Array signal processing, Bayesian network, Convex optimization, Game theory, Graph theory, Multi-dimensional Information theory * SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Papers should be in English, not exceeding 6 double-column pages (overlength pages will be charged for). and should follow IEEE paper templates.
