1. Invitation to 15th CSWS
Towards the information society, innovation of broadband technology has
started to be spread as a service. We could hold the substantial workshop
last year, which theme was "Opening of broadband IT services".
We will add a keyword, "Ubiquitous" to the coming workshop,
and we would like to discuss the future direction of our information society
from various aspects such as technology, service, business, and creation of society.
In the session of "Broadband service", we would like to introduce the trend
of optical access business overseas and various verifications based on the above theme.
In the session of "Public information system and its subject to be studied",
we will introduce substantial examples towards information society, and in the session of
"Realization of Ubiquitous network", we will become more aware of the subjects
to be examined regarding factor technology and creation of new society.
Also as a special lecture, we have scheduled the lecture of
"Repair and Restoration of Kanazawa Castle" by Mr. Atsushi Kimura of Ishikawa-prefecture,
Public Works Department.
In this lecture, Mr. Kimura will tell us what he feels about
the caslte and his efforts in his situation that he took an initiative
in overall maintenance of the castle last July.
These buildings are constructed by a traditional way of constraction using woods,
and they are the biggest wooden castle since Meiji era. Many tourists visited Kaga
one million koku fare, which was held at the same timing of broadcasting of
NHK TV roman drama, and it offers us a romance beyond millions of era.
We have chosen Wakura hot spring in Nanao-shi, Noto as the location of Workshop
and social gathering, where is one of the roots of the Maeda-han of Kaga.
The coming workshop will be the 15th anniversary, and we would like to offer
you an opportunity of more heating discussion. We are sincerely looking
