The<br \/>\nnew terahertz bands require an impressive accuracy in the acquisition<br \/>\nsystem to avoid positioning errors, with not very accurate measurement<br \/>\nof the phase and low signal to noise ratios. The measurement of beam<br \/>\nsteering active antennas should be done very fast to reduce the<br \/>\nmeasurement costs. And finally, smart antennas require new techniques<br \/>\nlike the &#8220;over-the-air&#8221; techniques to characterize the radio systems.<\/p>\n<p>The latest advances in antenna measurement research, together with the<br \/>\navailability of new technology, faster and more complex to acquire<br \/>\ndata, to get accurate positioning of the antenna probes and antenna<br \/>\nunder test (AUT), and the revolution of the capability of computers<br \/>\nhave allowed to face the antenna measurement challenges created by the<br \/>\nnew antenna technology. This presentation presents the new challenges<br \/>\nin antenna measurement and summarizes some of the most important<br \/>\nadvances in this area, focusing mainly in post-processing techniques<br \/>\nfor the different applications.<\/p>\n<p>\u8b1b\u6f14\u8005\u7565\u6b74\uff1aManuel Sierra Castaner was born in 1970 in Zaragoza (Spain). He<br \/>\nobtained the degree of Telecommunication Engineering in 1994 and the<br \/>\nPhD in 2000, both from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) in<br \/>\nSpain, where he is Full Professor since 2017. As PhD student, he had<br \/>\nshort research stays in Tokyo Tech (September-December 1998) and EPFL<br \/>\n(September-December 1999).<br \/>\nAlso, he was visitor Professor at Tokyo Tech during the summers of<br \/>\n2012 and 2013. Currently, he is Senior member of the IEEE and Fellow<br \/>\nof AMTA Society.<br \/>\nSince January 2016 he was member of the EurAAP (European Association<br \/>\non Antennas and Propagation) board of directors, and since 2019 to end<br \/>\nof 2021 he was the EurAAP vice-chair. He was the General Chair of<br \/>\nEuCAP2022 in Madrid.
