［所信表明］

平成７年に本会がソサイエティ制に移行し、基礎・境界ソサイエティが誕生してから四半世紀が経過しようとしている。基礎・境界ソサイエティが誕生してから、電子情報通信分野の基礎および境界の多様な研究分野の活性化のために、様々な取り組みがなされてきた。その努力は並大抵のものではなかったが、今後も社会情勢の急速な変化にあわせて、ソサイエティも変化をし続けなければならない。本ソサイエティに関連する分野の研究者・技術者・学生が、本ソサイエティの活動に積極的に参加し、それぞれが費やすコスト以上のメリットをそれぞれが得られるようなソサイエティとしてのビ ジネスモデルを、様々な方々の声に耳をかたむけながら、更新し続けていきたいと考えています。

［プロフィール］

1989東工大・工・電気電子卒、1991東工大・工・電気電子修士了。1996博士（工学）。1991東工大助手。現在、東工大工学院教授。本会にて、VLD研専委員長、ESS運営委員会事業担当幹事，システムと信号処理サブソサイエティ委員長、FR誌編集委員長等を歴任。本会フェロー。

［Statement］

A quarter of a century has almost passed since society system was adopted in IEICE and ESS was born in 1995. After ESS was born, various efforts have been made to activate a wide range of research fields of fundamentals and boundaries of Electronic, Information, and Communication. The efforts were remarkable. ESS must continue to change as the social situation rapidly changes. I want to continue to update business models of ESS so that researchers, engineers, and students in ESS related fields actively participate in the activities of ESS, and can receive the benefits more than the efforts each provides to ESS by adopting valuable ideas of them.

［Biography］

Atsushi TAKAHASHI received B.E., M.E., and D.E. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1989, 1991, and 1996, respectively. He joined Tokyo Institute of Technology as a Research Associate in 1991. He is currently a Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology. In IEICE, he was a chair of Technical Group on VLSI Design Technologies, a director of Service Activities of ESS, a chair of System and Signal Processing Subsociety, and Editor-in-Chief of Fundamentals Review. He is a Fellow of IEICE.
