この度は総務理事候補として推薦を賜り、誠に光栄に存じます。コロナによって社会が大きく変革した今日、電子情報通信分野の重要性は増しており、本学会も様々な形での貢献が求められています。研究開発や教育・人材育成等の面での社会貢献には、電子情報通信技術に基づきながら様々な分野と協調し、従来の枠を超えたサービスの提供が必要です。私は、本会通信ソサイエティ会長やIEEE ComSoc, Asia Pacific Board, Directorを始めとした自分の豊富な学会・国際経験、通信ソサイエティ初の全分野に渡る国際会議ICETCを立ち上げた経験を活かし、本学会ならびに社会の発展に貢献していきたいと思います。
慶應義塾大学理工学部卒。現在、慶應義塾大学理工学部教授。本会通信ソサイエティ会長・副会長、本会無線通信システム研専委員長、本会知的環境とセンサネットワーク研専委員長。本会編集会議ソサイエティ副編集長、本会英文論文誌編集副委員長、IEEE ComSoc, Asia Pacific Board, Director 同会Signal Processing for Communications and Electronics Technical Committee, Chair、IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, Area Editor、 IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials及びIEEE Wireless Communications Magazine, Technical Editor、Elsevier Physical Communications, Editor、APSIPA Board of Governorなどを歴任。これまで、240編以上の学術論文、470編以上の国際会議論文などを発表、50件以上の特許及び特許出願。本会フェロー。
It is my great honor to be nominated as a candidate of Director of General Affairs of IEICE. Today, when the covid-19 has revolutionized society, the importance of the field of information and communications is increasing, and IEICE is expected to contribute in various ways. To contribute to society in terms of research and development, education and human resource development, it is necessary to cooperate with various fields and provide services that go beyond conventional frameworks. I would like to contribute to the development of our society and IEICE by making the most of my rich academic and international experience, including as President of the Communications Society of IEICE, Director of IEEE ComSoc, Asia Pacific Board, and the founder of ICETC, the first international conference of the Communications Society covering all fields of communications.
Tomoaki Otsuki received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Keio University, Japan. He is now a Professor of Keio University, Japan. He is engaged in research on wireless communications, optical communications, signal processing, and information theory. He has published more than 240 journal papers and 470 international conference papers, and filed more than 50 patents.
He was a President of IEICE ComSoc, Chair of IEEE ComSoc. He is now serving a Director of IEEE ComSoc Asia Pacific Board, an Area Editor of the IEEE Trans. on Vehicular Technology and an editor of the IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials. He is a fellow of IEICE.
