Welcome Remarks:
The International Symposium on Network Virtualization focuses on network virtualization, which is expected to serve as a basis for future generation, integrated infrastructure for information and communications technologies (ICT). Aiming at advancing network virtualization toward its broad deployment, the symposium provides a place for facilitating international research cooperation and interaction among researchers and engineers across the world.
This year’s symposium, being the 7th of the annual meeting, focuses on 5G mobile networks, Internet of Thing (IoT), and network softwarization as a key enabler. Issues on network softwarization will be discussed from the viewpoint of its technological impacts on future networks and societal impacts by emerging services. Speakers are invited from both industry and academia. Social aspects, such as human resources to support future ICT environment, will be addressed, too.
