Information for Authors
Prepare Camera-Ready Paper
Camera-Ready papers should be in IEEE Format for Conference
Proceedings, A4 size, double column, minimum 10-pt fonts and up to 6 pages.
(Detailed format specifications are found in the following samples.)
Camre-ready format has changed to include
the IEICE copyright notice in the top-left corner of the paper.
Please use the new sample files. (Dec. 1, 2007)
For LaTeX users who have already made their camera-ready paper using bare_conf.tex,
please modify them as indicated here.
PDF versions of the papers are supposed to be compliant with
the PDF specification for IEEE Xplore, because we are planning to upload compliant PDFs to IEEE Xplore
(Uplodingthe PDF files to IEEE Xplore is to be determined).
Simplified Requirements for Creating PDF Files for IEEE Xplore can be found here.

Create PDF Versions of Your Papers Using IEEE PDF eXpress
IEEE PDF eXpress service for APSITT2008 is now available.
(Dec. 12, 2007)
Only PDF file is accepted for camera-ready submission.
The PDF file will be later uploaded to IEEE Xplore, in condition that it meets the
PDF Specification for IEEE Xplore.
To create an IEEE Xplore-compliant PDF or to verify that your own-created PDF file is IEEE Xplore-compliant,
the APSITT 2008 committee strongly recommend the use of
IEEE PDF eXpress service.
IEEE PDF eXpress service can be used as the following three steps:
- Go to the IEEE PDF eXpress site
- If you are new to IEEE PDF eXpress, create a new account using Conference ID apsitt08 .
- If you already have your account on IEEE PDF eXpress, login with Conference ID apsitt08
- (Note: In the PDF eXpress service, the deadline is indicated as 05-Dec-07, but the deadline is still 14-Dec-07.)
- Submit your PDF file (for checking) or source files (for conversion). For conversion, following formats are acceptable as source files:
- (La)TeX (a DVI and supported image files must be included in a compressed archive)
- Microsoft Word
- PageMaker (images should not be embedded, included with main file in a compressed archive)
- Other forms can be also used for conversion. See the application formats in the IEEE PDF eXpress page
- You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF attached.
Note
- A PDF file that is not compatible to IEEE Xplore Specification is acceptable for the conference proceedings,
but will not be uploaded to IEEE Xplore.
- Uploading a paper to IEEE PDF eXpress is NOT the same as submitting the final paper for publication. You will still need to submit the checked PDF of your final paper through EDAS
as shown below
Camera-ready Upload
EDAS page for camera-ready paper upload is now available.
(Dec. 7, 2007)
Camera-Ready PDF version of the paper
should be submitted using the EDAS Submission System, as was done in the abstract submission.
If you have difficulty in submitting the file through EDAS by the due date, please notify to the contact address shown below.
Copyright Transfer
All authors are requseted to transfer the copyright to IEICE. In addition to copyright
transfer, agreement on the inclusion of the papers in IEEE Xplore is required for accepting camera-ready papers.
This is a mandatory condition for the submitted final paper to appear
in the APSITT proceedings.
Copyright transfer process is carried out via EDAS.
The authors retain the following rights:
- All proprietary rights other than copyrights.
- Re-use of all or part of the above manuscript in their work.
- Reproduction of the above manuscript for author's personal use or for company/institution use provided that (a)the permission of the IEICE is obtained prior to reproduction, (b)the source and IEICE copyright notice
are indicated, and (c)the copies per se are not offered for sale.
- The consent of the author (or one of the authors) be sought as a condition in granting republication permission to others.
The copyrights of the papers uploaded to IEEE Xplore will not be transferred to IEEE, but remain with IEICE.
Due date
Due date for camera-ready upload is Dec. 5, 2007 Dec. 14, 2007.
