An Optimal Design for Morphological Filters with Deteriorate Images

(in English) For noise reduction in texture images by the opening operation which is one of morphology operations, the optimization technique for estimating the structure element by some texture model called “PGPC model” has been proposed. In this model, we consider the texture images to be composed of an arrangement of similar small objects. The similar texture image and its corrupted one is used for estimation of the structure elements in this technique. However, in real application, the estimation of the structure element from the corrupted image is desirable. In this paper, we propose the technique to estimate the optimal structure elements from corrupted images. This technique consists of the simulated annealing with changing of several constraints. The proposed technique provides almost same structures as given by the supervised training. The proposed method is also extended to the optimal design of closing filters.
