A Distributed Algorithm for Multi-Agent Networks to Solve Sandberg-Willson Equations

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We propose a distributed algorithm for multi-agent networks to solve Sandberg-Willson equations, which are well-known in the field of nonlinear circuit theory. Each agent deals only with one equation assigned to it, but it can receive estimated solutions of some other agents through communication channels. In the proposed algorithm, each agent tries to find the unique solution of a Sandberg-Willson equation by repeating the process of finding a solution of the assigned equation and the process of computing the average of the estimated solutions of the agents in its neighborhood alternately. We first show through numerical experiments that, by using the proposed algorithm, all agents in a network can find the unique solution. We also prove under some assumptions on the nonlinear function and the coefficient matrix in the equation that the sequence of solutions of every agent converges to the unique solution.
