A Study on Channel Equalization with Belief Propagation in Polar-Coded Single Carrier Transmission

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A Polar code is one of channel codes attracting attention in recent years. It is reported that the Polar code realizes the performance asymptotic to Shannon limit by channel polarization even with simple successive cancellation decoding. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of a GaBP based equalizer for Polar-coded single carrier transmission in a frequency selective fading environment. As a result, it is found that the accuracy of re-encoded bits highly affects the equalizing performance when combining Polar code and GaBP.
