Accuracy of Living-Body-Direction Estimation Method Using Single-RF Front-End and Variable Feed Network

(in English) In this paper, we propose estimation method of living body direction using variable feed network, where only an RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) without phase information is used. In this method, an arbitrarily arranged array antenna can be used because variable feed network is used, and the complex channel matrix is estimated by searching the channel matrix corresponding to the RSSI response expected from the feed network characteristics. It allows simplification of the RF-frontend since the number of the receivers can be reduced. The experimental results showed the angular error is less than acceptable error even though the phase information is not available.
