IP-based network operations support system for the mobile communication network is a large-scale monitoring system that monitors various type of IP network equipment constituting the network, and it becomes a very important social infrastructure along with the spread of smartphones and IoT. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, further reliability improvement measures are promoted in the mobile communication networks. In order to acquire high reliability that can withstand the destruction of the bases caused by large-scale disasters and the severance of network transmission paths also in IP-based OSS, we have been carrying out system renewal implementations from the old system with a single site redundant system configuration to the brand new system provides a large-scale two remote sites redundancy between the bases in Eastern Japan and Western Japan, and the system is implemented and started commercial operations. In the new IP-based network operations support system, not only was it possible to continue monitoring from two bases in the event of a disaster, it is also considered to promptly restore the system by two bases operation after recover from the disaster back to normal in one base operation. In this paper, we describe this recovery method. |
