In this paper, several conditions such as absorber structures (planar and pyramid with various periodic lengths), transmitting positions relative to pyramid tip, receiving positions, and pair of transmitter-receiver polarizations are modeled by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method to investigate the influence of reflections on body area channel measurements in anechoic chambers. The influence is evaluated by the error of root-mean-square (RMS) delay spread between the model with and without absorber. As from the investigation, the pyramid absorber with small periodic length outperforms the other structures. The body-normally polarized transmitter seems to be less influenced by reflections from absorbers. |
