[Invited Lecture] A Study on an Antenna Arrangement of Line-Of-Sight MIMO Communications for 5G Backhaul Systems

(in English) Many research institutions have paid attention to the 5th generation
mobile radio communication systems (5G). The expectations for wireless backhaul become higher. This paper focuses on the wireless backhaul with Line-Of-Sight Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (LOS-MIMO) transmissions. This paper shows that when the arrays are arranged vertically to the ground, it is better to set the inter-element spacing by relaxing orthogonal conditions of paths. We reveal the reduction of the spatial correlation and the enhancement of the block error rate (BLER).
