Experimental Evaluation of a Gunn-Oscillator Integrated 4-Patch Active Array Antenna With Polarization Switching Function

(in English) We have proposed a new spatial modulation system using polarizations, and several advanced planar antennas have been examined to achieve the spatial modulation system with simple configurations. We have also demonstrated an antenna integrating a Gunn oscillators and 4 patch antennas. In this paper, we report the experimental results of an active array antenna integrating a Gunn oscillator and modulators. As a result of the prototype evaluation, its polarization modulation function was confirmed. The measured cross polarization suppression was about 10 dB.
