Demonstration of 10km SMF Transmission with 400GbE 400GBASE-LR8 Compliant CFP8 Optical Transceiver

(in English) We developed CFP 8 optical transceiver that realizes 400 Gbit / s transmission by wavelength multiplexing of 26.5625Gbaud(53.125Gbit/s) × 8 ch using PAM 4 modulation. CFP8 optical transceiver is compliant with the IEEE 400GBASE-LR8 specifications, and enables 10 km transmission over single mode fiber. We evaluated BTB and 10 km transmission characteristics of CFP8. Its minimum receiver sensitivity was confirmed to meet the specification of (-7.1dBm OMA) with margin. Moreover, we confirmed the Post FEC error free operation after 10 km transmission. The evaluated TDECQ which is defined as eye closure penalty due to optical waveform distortion or by noise is also reported.
