Blood oxygen saturation is one of the items for grasping human health condition. Blood oxygen saturation represents the proportion of oxygen and hemoglobin bound in the blood. It is an indicator to judge whether the body can properly capture oxygen.
Currently, pulse oximeters are used to measure blood oxygen saturation. Pulse oximeter measures blood oxygen saturation using light. However, there are problems such as burns when used for a long time. Also, in the case of a patient who can’t grasp the situation of himself like a newborn baby, there is a possibility that the cable of the device is entangled with the neck or the like and dies. I thought that these problems can be solved by non-contact measurement of blood oxygen saturation.
In this paper, non-contact pulse wave measurement was carried out using two kinds of lights, red light and infrared light, which are necessary for blood oxygen saturation measurement. By measuring the non-contact pulse wave using infrared and infrared light, it was evaluated whether non-contact blood oxygen saturation measurement is possible or not. |
