Far-Field Estimation of Antenna above the Earth by Source Reconstruction from Hemispherical Near-Field

(in English) Antenna measurements are done in an anechoic chamber, its characteristics regarded as equal to the characteristics in free space. Actual far-field pattern is different from the far-field in free space because it is affected by the earth. Therefore we need to estimate the far-field pattern when the antennas are placed above the earth from the measurement data in anechoic chamber for obtaining the practical antenna pattern. This report proposes the method of far-field estimation when the antenna above the earth using north hemispherical near-field data measured in anechoic chamber. We apply the inverse problem to the hemispherical near-field data in free space, it can be estimate surface current of the antenna accurately using forward reconstructed full-spherical near-field data from reconstructed surface current. The far-field when the antenna is placed on the earth of arbitrary electric constant is obtained by considering the image current of the reconstructed surface current.
