Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In order to solve the problem of device cost and power consumption in wireless sensor networks, we have proposed new sensor network architecture called impulse wireless sensor network (IWSN).
In IWSNs, all of sensing, signal processing, and communication are performed in the form of impulses.
To obtain information of events, we adopt an algorithm of a liquid state machine (LSM), which is a model of information processing in the brain.
In this paper, we improve the performance of an IWSN as a LSM under physical constraints from viewpoint of separation property.
Through simulation evaluation, we show that separation property can be improved by increasing impulse transmission frequency and arranging nodes at high density.
