This paper concentrates on the NICT contribution to the work ongoing in 3GPP SA2 and in particular on support of network sharing and spectrum sharing between different operators. A network sharing technology allows multiple conventional operators to share resources of a single shared network. This technology enables sharing the deployment costs for mobile networks, especially in case of small cells and high frequency. Also, it increases the flexibility of deployment of shared networks tailored to serve users demanding different sets of QoS requirements. Finally, it increases flexibility and efficiency of spectrum usage. |
